I was invited by a skateboard brand to create a piece with complete creative freedom, and I chose to work in my signature retro-toy inspired style.

To me, skateboarding is a culture that embodies the pure sense of “play.” In recent years, it has become a pastime enjoyed not only by men but also by many young women. With this in mind, I created illustrations that reflect the charm and spirit of girls, expressed through a retro-toy aesthetic. While the motifs were intuitively layered, I carefully unified the color palette and textures to construct a coherent imaginary world. By merging playfulness with a sense of nostalgia, I aimed to highlight a new and refreshing aspect of skateboarding culture.
